Helapet do their part for MacMillan!

In aid of Macmillan Cancer support Helapet joined the nation by holding the annual “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” supporting the great work the Macmillan nurses do for people living with cancer. On the day, coffee mornings were held in homes and workplaces across the country, in support of the MacMillan campaign.

Helapet once again outdid themselves with plenty of homemade cakes, cookies and treats much to the delight of everyone including our very own Managing Director, Ben Miles.

The Helapet team raised a fantastic £211.80 for the cause, and of course, all donations were given to charity. We would like to say thank you to all at Macmillan for the invite and well done to all that took part!

Looking ahead to the New Year

New Machinery for Filter Devices

In response to increasing demand, Helapet are investing in the increased production of inline disc filters with brand new injection moulding machinery and tooling.
 
For over 30 years our Filter Devices division has specialised in the design and manufacture of 25mm and 50mm inline filters, with the ability to customise them with different filter media and inlet/outlet connections.

Helapet takes the stress out of sporicides with the launch of new SteriSpor™ sterile trigger spray

Helapet are pleased to introduce an all new sterile sporicidal trigger spray for fast acting elimination of spore contamination in cleanroom environments.

SteriSpor™ is a stable hypochlorous acid (HOCl) preparation developed to minimise the risk of viable spores during aseptic transfer of cleanroom materials and to treat non-product surfaces.

Demonstrating a greater than 3 log reduction of viable spores in less than 1 minute, SteriSpor™ meets necessary EN standards and exceeds the latest UK efficacy guidelines.

The minimal residue reduces removal time and presents a very low corrosion risk to cleanroom equipment, isolators and furniture. Classified as non-hazardous and emitting very low odour, SteriSpor™ provides assured safe handling for cleanroom operators.

APTUK, 60 and still strong...

The Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK) celebrated their 60th annual conference this year at Aston University, Birmingham. Run by pharmacy technicians for pharmacy technicians, the APTUK provides continued support in the training and development of Pharmacy and Healthcare practitioners.

Helapet were pleased to be the corporate sponsor and present the Kathryn Miles Poster Award at their annual conference. The Kathryn Miles competition helps to support creative thinking, using posters to illustrate latest research and generate new and valuable ideas.

We are pleased to announce that Joanna Correa West, Marie Slimm, Ruth Shuard & Beth Barrett of Birmingham Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust became the official winners of the APTUK Katherine Miles poster competition 2016, sponsored by Helapet.

Their poster on “Pharmacy Technician extended role into medicines administration” secured them a cash prize of £250 and their names on the board of poster winners.A huge thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to our worthy winners and runner-ups!
