Study Day Success

The first helapet.net study day of the third series ‘Managing the risks in the preparation of aseptic products’, was a resounding success.

27 delegates spent an informative day at Wroxall Abbey enjoying a mix of presentations and workshops on best practice in aseptic environments. Topics covered were real risks and governance of IV’s, assuring the quality of PN, effective inspection and release and a practical workshop on CAPA and root cause analysis.

Our thanks go to guest Speakers, Tim Sizer, Mark Oldcorne, Richard Needle and Paul Tunstell, who all did a fabulous job on making the day a success.

New Bio + I and II added to SteriClean range

Two new sterile rotational biocides are newly available to compliment the SteriClean denatured ethanol and isopropyl alcohol sprays.

SteriClean Bio I and II are good broad spectrum biocides that when used in conjunction with SteriClean alcohol sprays will effectively control microbial contamination commonly found in cleanroom environments and are suitable for use on all hard surfaces both inside and outside isolators and hatches.

SteriClean Bio + are blended with water for injection, filtered to 0.2 micron and filled in a class 10,000 cleanroom. ready mixed and validated for maximum effect, they are supplied individually double bagged and sterilised by gamma irradiation at no less than 25 kGy.

Improved packaging for aseptic disposables

We have upgraded our cleanroom packaging facility by investing in a state of the art bespoke vacuum packaging machine to meet the increased demands for sterile packaging within controlled environments.

The machines remove the air from each pack during the packaging process ensuring that microbial particulates are extracted, before sealing securely with a validated heat seal.

Products that benefit from the new cleaner and more secure packaging process are pharmapack bulk packed syringes, individually sterile wrapped sharps bins and pharmacy prep trays.

New Cyto pack for cytotoxic administration

A new cyto pack is available from Helapet that offers a comprehensive range of protective disposables perfectly suited for small veterinary practices and clinics where only occasional patients requre chemotherapy treatments.
The pack contains gloves, oversleeves, a workmat, a sterile venting device and wipes for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces after the procedure - everything required to handle cytotoxic preparations and medications safely and efficiently.

Latex Free Cytotoxic Spill Kit

Helapet welcomes Sandrina

Helapet welcomes Sandrina from Rowemed in Germany who is with us for four weeks on a work placement to improve her already excellent english. Sandrina is on a sales apprenticeship training scheme and sells filtration devices into english speaking countries.
We hope Sandrina will enjoy her time with us in England.
